We’ve been visiting this site for many years, staff always superb. Facilities excellent and clean. We’ve made many friends over the years. St Remy nice town. The last time we came June23 I noticed that some of the pitches had become tired and the hedge rows on the pitches were not good especially at ground level. Unfortunately we had
One such Pitch 93 I think. We had a
Dog and on occasions used the football area for exercise of the dog. Again this area has become tired and in need of refreshing. It’s always good that doggy bags are provided but once again inconsiderate dog owners spoil it for us all. One reviewer mentioned no atmosphere at the site. I have to agree that it appeared to have become a bit
clickish.
Thanks anyway for all the good times we have had at Monplaisir and thanks to your professional family and staff.
The emplacements are large and nicely separated by trees and bushes.|The facilities are excellent and always spotless. The best time to swim is in the morning as in the afternoons the pool is full of people talking! 20 min walk to the delightful St Remy- ideal in so many ways.
Clean, quiet campsite. The lots are large and separated by hedges so they feel private. The bathrooms are well organised with plenty of hooks for towels, bags, etc. Each sink or shower is in a private booth. The pool is big and nicely warm. Out of four campgrounds I have stayed in this summer this was my favourite.
very pretty and clean camping place. the showers and bathrooms aren't dirty compared to other camping places. the store isn't too expensive. the pool is heated and clean. definitely recommend this place
We stayed for 2 nights in August 2023 on our way to Spain. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Plots are spacious and separated by hedges and trees. All the facilities were clean and never seemed too busy. The swimming pool has a nice shady grass area surrounding it, and a bar. The location is excellent for St Remy de Provence itself, and you can easily drive to other towns or sights within about half an hour to an hour: we went to Arles for a day trip.
On the plus side this site has a beautiful pool and a great bar, although the food menu could maybe do with expanding, and the facilities are spacious, clean and tidy. Only ten minutes walk from St Remy so if you like a busy town then this could be the site for you.
It wasn’t for us though. We didn’t find the site particularly friendly, the pitches were pretty small, unless you paid for a larger one, and it just lacked atmosphere. Maybe ok if you want to pitch up for 2 weeks and lay by the pool.
Having booked this campsite on the rave reviews I had high expectations but unfortunately it felt like a very pricey 3 star campsite . The campsite was close to being full but yet had no atmosphere, probably geared more to the older generation.
The staff in the shop were very friendly which had a really nice delicatessen selection. Toilets very clean but tired looking and toilet and shower cubicles were small. Ground not really suitable for tents and awnings as the pitches were gravel hardstands which required ground preparation for pegging down.
Within walking distance of the town of St remy de provence and local shops.
On hindsight we would have gave this campsite a miss as we have been to better 3 star campsites.
Beautifully kept campsite with lovely pool and bar area. Sanitary blocks were excellently kept. The on-site shop had lovely selection
